OK so Rachel made a comment on her latest post about not wearing pants while going uptown. And yes she meant shorts. (She'll think I'm not so tough, just because I'm in love with and up town girl, Ah Billy Joel).
So yesterday I had to go to campus. I was about to put some khaki pants on when Rachel said to me, "Say sweetie, it's not that cold out and I'm trying to get enough laundry done for the trip. Could you wear shorts to campus?" Eight hours later I am sitting in the math building and my lovely wife pops up on IM. She asks me, "Hey Dave how safe are you going to be driving home? They are predicting frezzing rain in parts of Mississippi and Louisiana." I didn't freeze here, but it was raining a bunch and in the lower forties upper thirties while I was walking down the hill to get to my car. In shorts that isn't fun. I made it home last night and I felt like a mathsicle.
So life isn't dull around here. We are putting in about 30 hours of driving in three days at the begining of next week. So pray for us. And we will see many of you in the great white north.
